What you need to start

Two minutes of setup. You don’t need every device — here’s exactly what changes with each one.

Required

A head unit or bike computer

Garmin or Wahoo. Every ride comes back automatically and gets scored the moment you upload it, and structured workouts push straight to a Wahoo ELEMNT or a Garmin device — intervals, power targets and all. Any session also exports as a .zwo for Zwift.

Recommended

A continuous monitoring device — WHOOP or Eight Sleep

This is where the magic happens. Round-the-clock HRV, sleep and strain is what lets the plan rebuild itself every morning instead of adjusting weekly from ride data alone. Stack more devices and it gets sharper.

Optional

Power meter, smart trainer, Google Calendar, CPAP data

Power sharpens interval targets, but heart rate and pace work fine to start. Calendar sync puts plans in your week; CPAP records unlock the Sleep Lab.

The wedge

Every other platform adapts to your performance. We adapt to your readiness.

Recovery-driven training

Your daily plan is gated by HRV, sleep quality and strain. When you’re primed, it asks for more. When you’re not, it protects you — and it tells you why, in a sentence, not a dashboard.

Sleep Lab — including your CPAP data

If you’ve been told to accept declining performance because of sleep apnea, we built this for you. PCC reads your CPAP records alongside HRV and sleep staging, then shows the line between last night’s AHI and today’s power. No other cycling platform touches this data.

Questions we get asked

Do I need a WHOOP?

No. A head unit is the only hard requirement — connect a Garmin or Wahoo and you can start today. A continuous monitoring device like WHOOP or Eight Sleep is what unlocks daily adaptation; without one you still get a coached plan, it just adjusts weekly from your ride data instead of every morning.

Which devices and apps does Pro Cycling Coach connect to?

Pro Cycling Coach connects to WHOOP, Eight Sleep, Garmin Connect, Wahoo, Strava, Apple Health, Google Calendar and USDA FoodData Central today, and exports structured workouts to Zwift as .zwo files. COROS and Concept2 are next. Recovery devices supply sleep, HRV and strain; head units supply ride data and receive structured workouts, pushed natively to a Wahoo ELEMNT or to a Garmin device through Garmin Connect.

How is this different from TrainerRoad or TrainingPeaks?

Those platforms adapt to how you performed. Pro Cycling Coach adapts to whether you're ready to perform — the plan is gated on HRV, sleep and strain before it's written. Nutrition also lives in the same system rather than a separate app, so fueling tracks the load you're actually carrying.

Can I bring my TrainingPeaks or Strava history?

Yes. Export your full history as a ZIP from TrainingPeaks and upload it — we parse every file, merge it with rides we already have from your head unit rather than duplicating them, and rebuild your Performance Management Chart so your fitness curve stays continuous across the move. Raw .fit files work the same way. Connect Strava and your activities show up alongside everything else; for a full history migration, the TrainingPeaks export or your .fit files is the route that carries your fitness curve with it.

What happens to my data?

It stays yours. We never sell it, never share it with advertisers, and you can export or delete everything from your settings. Health data — sleep, HRV, CPAP records, body composition — is stored encrypted and used only to build your plan.

What will Pro Cycling Coach cost after the alpha?

The alpha is free. Pricing isn't locked yet, and every alpha athlete keeps founder pricing when we launch — whatever we land on, you pay less than everyone after you.
